We are all subjects to the randominity of the universe... this is normally what people refer to as 'luck'. It is not an element that you can have more or less of or a commodity that you can run out of or have too much of. It is simple statistics and random events.
Thus, you have two choices, to acknowledge the above as truth you cannot change or effect in anyway, and therefor create your 'own luck' by seeing things the way Suprahero does... or continue through your life believing you're being victimized by the universe and live as a submissive to its wills and whims.
Put another way, you can either walk a path through life of your choosing, or follow a carrot on a stick that guides you across paths that are results of random chance.
"Luck" and "bad luck", to me, are unloading responsibility off of you and onto everything and everyone else. I once knew a guy who lost every penny he had and then some, now he makes enough money to pay more in taxes than most people make in a year. He got a raw deal but came back swingin', in less than a decade too. I also know a guy who was gassed working in a refinery, along with a 100 of his friends who were working on the job too. That was 7 years ago, and he is the ONLY one of the guys in that plant that are still alive (half were dead in a year from health complications, the rest dwindled off over the next two, he is the only one alive from that accident)... he has all sorts of health problems, but he gets up in the morning and attacks the day. He doesn't live it, he attacks it... he gets every ounce of enjoyment out of every day because he learned fast that one day you run out of days, just like all those other guys did. I honestly think he's alive only because he's just too damn stubborn to die.
The pattern? Those guys don't believe in 'having bad luck', they just make their own luck by choosing to see anything bad that happens to them as an opprotunity to find more good in themselves to better their own lives.
