wrong bolt pattern. The rear will stick out unless you run camber or a skinnier tire plus roll the fender.

Thats what I thought, isn't our bolt pattern something like 114x5? thanks anyways

What's the point of having a high performance sports car if you mount wheels that make it utterly impractical? Low offsets just for the sake of having them is kinda dumb in my eyes. I'd rather shoehorn on the biggest rim/tire combo that maximizes performance rather than just looks. To each his own though. You guys with super high offsets should remember to let us know if you have any rubbing issues and what you do to fix it. Otherwise others may assume you had no problems and follow suit. The purpose of this thread is to help others mount sick wheels...not just showcase yours.:)

Crappy angle too

So are you saying that the suspension will actually travel and it won't rub. So if you were to drift the car, the tire wouldn't get eaten up by the fender? I really don't see that happening unless you're running way too stiff of a suspension. If you take some more pictures, take some down the side of the car or from facing the wheel and standing above it and looking down on it.

Are you talking super high? Like +40s and up or are you talking super low, like less than zero or negative?

my current set up dosen't need those fender flares at all and looks awesome without them. I'll get pics tomorrow after washing, hope my new paint job dosen't peel. lol

But I did have 17x10 + 12's all around, and planning on going 10' +12's on my soapra.

After fender rolling the tire dosen't rub, and clears travel.

I'm sorry if I'm coming off bad, but maybe on a VIP style car it would be OK, but on a GT car wheels like this are completely useless

it's too much and looks like the suspension is broken

that's my opinion, but about the farthest I'd go is what Rajunz has, and personally it's not livable enough for the type of driving I do...

from his gallery:

Centerline Matrix 5 spoke,
Rears: 17” x 9 ½” (6" backspace), with 285/40/17’s Khumo MX tires.
Fronts: 17” x 8” (5 1/2" backspace), with 255/40/17’s Khumo MX tires.

Emission, do you have a side shot of your car? I want to see how it's sitting?

Poodles, I agree, super ridiculous wheel fitment isn't good for car that gets driven. But I don't like the way Rajunz car looks. Maybe it's just the way it's sitting or that it looks like too much tire on the wheel or something.

I don't know though, I'm thinking something like a 9"+20 with a 245 and a 10"+25 or so with a 275 combined with a proper ride height and good alignment would look pretty awesome on a supra and be more tire than most people will use. That should fit pretty nicely and with rolled fenders not rub on anything. And if people want to wider, there's a lot of room to go in on a Supra.

But people should just play with that wheel offset calculator that I posted somewhere in here. The excel spreadsheet based one. I was just playing with it a little and if you base it off of known fitment, you can come up with different sizes and offsets and even estimates on tire profile that will fit within a given space. I was just using MKIV TT front wheels and the XT-7's that I was running. So 17x8+50 (right?) and 18x9.5+12 and messing around to see what was the biggest I could fit safely. It ended up being like 18x10+24 with a 255 and I'm pretty sure there is still room on the inside for more wheel. But I would have to test fit it first and find out. But at least it gives you an idea.

were you trying to find out the Least amount of offset you could get away with or is the offset a result of shooting for a safe wheel size and tire width?

on the rear, i really dont think you can get away with a 10" or wider wheel with such a low offset. i have a 10" in the +40 range at a Slightly reduced ride height and a very conservative alignment. right now, the 295/35's are barely inside the edges of the fenders. with that offset and tire size, the tires ALMOST rub the strut body when the suspension is at full droop. id say its about 3mm away at full droop. on my front, i have a 255/35 and it really looks like i have plenty of room to spare. i have test fitted a 19x10" wheel with a 265/30 on it up front on a car with BG sport springs. w/o the fender liner, it didnt rub anything. the offset was closer to +50mm tho.

i just wanted to see if theyd fit my car before i laid out the money lol the rears dont fit very well. 315/25's dont fit under the stock body; they have to stick out past the fender.

What he is saying is that you can use known fitment that people have used and use a calculator to estimate or find out if other rims will fit. It is not that hard to use. Just need to think a little to figure out if a persons set up will work.

Flubyux2, are your fenders rolled? That's going to have a lot to do with how stuff is going to fit. But ride height and alignment play into it. And fitting a big tire in the back and making it look good is going to take some work.

I was basing those numbers off of what I had fit on my car and using that calculator I posted earlier in the thread, like Borhor was saying. And like I keep saying, it depends on what you want to do to get setups to fit.

And that 10" +50 in the front, did you try turning the wheels? I was test fitting 10.5" +32 and I thought they hit the sway bar when turning the wheel. But it might have been the 11.5" wheel. But I'm pretty sure it was the 10.5".
