I've been fooling around with my next set up I'm trying to get a 295, on something ridiculously too wide. lol

Looks like garagefujimoto is on a similar path.:biglaugh:

the man has taste, and I think we where the first few crazy enough to go in this direction. :icon_cool

Count me in! It's time for some fender pulls. I think I'll have to send the HREs back and get the outer lips changed so that I run 11" rears.

And that 10" +50 in the front, did you try turning the wheels? I was test fitting 10.5" +32 and I thought they hit the sway bar when turning the wheel. But it might have been the 11.5" wheel. But I'm pretty sure it was the 10.5".

I know a guy (keros) who runs MKIV rears on the front of his car (9.5" +50) with a set of 265s. He drives it like that, and doesn't seem to have fitment issues.

Personally I run 255s on the front of mine on MKIV fronts (8.5" +50), and they do hit the sway-bar, but only at full lock. Any other time, there's plenty of room. As for the wheel liner, they BARELY clear, but they DO clear.

So is he just not running a front sway bar? Or never turning the wheel enough to realize that they'll hit?

how good would the fitment be for 18x8.5 35mm offset with stock camber. I have those rims on my Altima right now, but want to go back to stockish and toss them on the supra. 245s all around on the 18s. Im starting to not feel the MKIV na wheels anymore (and finding anything larger than a 245 for a 16" wheel is a bitch w/o going to a DR)

Pics of the wheels:

Its a fake 3 piece sadly.

I remember having 275 when I had my red and blk Advan SA3R's. and they sat flush but rubbed a bit. but that's without any camber adjustment's I might have to pull them off and see what offset they where.

Tim, my fenders are not pulled, let alone rolled. i know id like to get them rolled so i dont have to worry about that lip. if i got them pulled al ittle too, i would be able to fit even larger tires and still be able to keep a conservative alignment. right now, i rarely have problems with rubbing on anything in the rear and NOTHING in the front but you can clearly see how much gap i have up front lol.

the 10" wheel with a +50, i did turn the wheel lock to lock as my friends checked for any issues. there was no problem on the suspension. the closest thing that came to interfering was the wire harness that runs next to the washer bottle. but i just tucked that in a little better and had no more issues. i didnt try taking the car over any uneven pavement or turning while going over bumps. that would have been the ultimate test to make sure the tire didnt grab the lip while compressing.

i remember adam/jonez had 275's on all four corners. i currently have 255/35 up front, but id like to get more tire. im thinking a 265/35 or maybe even a 275/30? anyone fit those up front?

Rolling fenders will give a little more room on the outside, so you can get away with a lower offset than before. So if you had issues with rubbing on the inside, you could use a little spacer and get some more clearance on the inside and still not hit on the outside. I know you aren't having any problems now, but if you go lower, you might.

So the 10"+50 cleared everything. I will have to try test fitting that 10.5 up there again. But I'm also running the steering spacers, so I have a little more steering angle and that could be putting the wheel too close to the sway bar.

275s on what width wheel? I would like to try and get 275s to fit on the front on those 10.5s, but I don't know if they will fit without doing some work to the fenders. And I want a 315 in the back. I really hope I can get that setup to fit because with that wheel/tire setup (BBS race wheels with hoosiers) and my suspension, the car should be able to stick to everything. We could probably drive up walls if we had more power.

On my 18x8.5 +35 with a 245 at full lock I was rubbing on the sway bar. On my 16x8 50 way before full lock I was rubbing on the lower arm. That was probably because it was a 16" though.

Which offset will fit flushest on these wheels. 17x8's with +42 or +28 offset? Also 17x9's with +27 or +17 offset. I'm wanting to wrap the 17x8's with a 245/40-17 and the 17x9's with 275/40-17 rubber. I need to know so I can order me some traction A.S.A.P.:1zhelp:

Your offsets are 3mm further inside the wheel well than mine(front wheel). You should have no problem running the tire sizes you mentioned. I am currently running a 225 on the front but I will be buying 245's when these wear out.

yo tim... so far in the rear, where i currently have my rubbing issues, going lower should make more problems with rubbing on the fender. the suspension articulation makes it look like the wheel moves out as it compresses, which will give me more room between the tire and strut. ill definitly have to look into rolling (maybe even pulling) when i do a suspension.

for the front, i have 18x9. i was looking for a tire that slightly square or a barely pulled on the sidewalls. i definitly dont want bulge on the front. the 255/35 Bridgestone S-03's i have up front appear to be pulled/stretched so thats why i was thinking about going a hair wider. plus, the sidewall is so short compared to the rear, going the additional width could help fill the fender a little better. with the tire on there now, there is quite a substantial fender gap and it makes it look like i have to bring the car down 2 whole inches.

ideally, id like to get the top of my fender opening to sit ON the top of the tires, visually... or perhaps a one-finger gap.

id think that you could get 275's up front with the right sidewall height and ride height. those 265/30/19's fit pretty well and the car was lowered. the tires even looked stretched on those wheels so i think a 275/30 would still fit on the same setup. but again, im unsure of how well itd interface when turning and going over bumps. i have a feeling that theres a good chance the tire could grab the fender on hard turns like driveways if i didnt take them slow enough. i had that problem on my RX7 and sean/2jzmk3 does too w/ his advans.

the 315 in the rear, im quite convinced there will need to be some pulling or going back to stock ride height. the 305/25/19 i put on the rear of my old car, was +50 and hit the strut at full droop. i had to put 10mm spacers to push it out and the tire STILL touched the strut. only after i put the car on the ground did the tire gain space... even then it was only a few mm tops. so basically, with the tire nearly Touching the strut and a 19x11 with a 305/25, it BARELY protruded past the body line. if i was able to run that w/o rubbing inside, i would have to do some fender rolling and a slight pull or mess with the camber.
