10? on the website? really? show me please

http://www.xxrwheels.com/sportmax_962.shtml

also, I barely learned how to read tire sizes yesterday so if im making a bad choice then sorry for being a noob.

From a few examples given on the first page I was able to determine a 275 on a 9.5, I asked if it was possible to fit 285's on a 9.5 because I havent seen it done in the 50+ pages I read through this thread. If a 275 is going to cause handling issues then how come there are 4 examples on the first page alone?

:dunno:

Fitment will also depend on the tire manufacturer and model, some tires appear a bit wider or narrower for the same given size. Any manufacturer will recommend exactly what size rim that size tire is intended for. I run RT615 and Star Specs on my 9.5" and I wouldn't go wider than 255, both are almost square.
As for others running 275 or 285 on 9.5" I can't say, maybe they like the feeling, don't want to buy new wheels, not my concern.

The setup I want is xxr 962's... 18x8.5 in front and 18x9.5 in back

I want the widest tire I can fit on this wheel for the rear so maybe a 275, or 285 if possible, and a 235 in front

is it possible to fit a 285 on the rear for a 18x9.5?

Hey everyone. Haven't posted in a while... Unfortunately I hit a pot hole, blew out a tire and bent one of my Rays so I'm looking into a new set of wheels.

Does anyone know if 19x9 +38 and 19x10 +38 will work for our cars without any rubbing? If so, what tire widths do you recommend?

Thank you very much!

If you figured toyota made the TT wheels with a 235-45-17 on a 8" wheel and 255-40-17 on a 9.5" wheel they have a slight stiffer sidewall and stretch just a bit when going on. I deal with rims alot during the day and I hear a 8-9" wheel, depending on vehicle ,from different wheel makers calls for 245-255 w/o alot of stretch. Just my 2 cents

Anyone know where I can find longer wheel studs at? I am trying to run a wheel spacer but the studs are not long enough. I have already tried 4runner, landcruiser, and Is300 studs and they are all the same length. Also where can I get some cheap 10mm spacers from?

Figured I would ask before I buy some wheels. Im looking into getting some 17x9 wheels with 24mm offset (both front and rear) Will this be a big problem? I will have H&R springs with illumina II's. What size tire should I run for front and back? Didnt see anyone running this setup in this thread(possibly overlooked)

Thanks

I have the same suspension setup and running 17x9 +35 all around with 255/275/40 tires. 245/40 front and 255/40 rear would be ideal for you. You could pull off a 275 in the rear but you will have to roll ur fenders if you plan on doing any hard launches or jack up one of the front corners you will hit.

If I wanted somewhat of a stretched tire, what would be a good size?

Will these fit? and Has anyone heard of A-Tech wheels? They are 18X8/9, just don't know the offset >< Emailed the guy. I think they would look good if they will fit flushly.

BTW Google search for A-tech really doesn't turn up much?

Those are probably either Weds Sa-70's, or MB "Weapon's". Depending on tire size, flush fitment for those sizes would be 5-15mm offset for the 8's, and about, 15 or 20mm for the 9's. I would highly recommend rolled fenders, before any attempt at that aggressive of fitment.
