The fitment is perfect.

Your rear tires are sticking out. Next time you buy rear tires, why don't you try 255s so that you could actually lower your car and get out of 4x5 status.

I tried my 17x10 +38 on the front yesterday. They have slightly more clearance from the shock than the rears (rear is about a fingertip of clearance)
I'll drive to see if any contact is noticed (appears they could rub the inner fender liner under hard braking) Tires on the 17x10 are 255/40, car is on Eibach Pro-kit/Tok. Illuminas.

Maybe he doesn't want that look? Not everyone wants stretched tires and a car so low that it becomes a pain in the ass. As long as they don't rub they will work fine.

Right now, his car looks like it's sitting higher than stock. Who puts on coilovers to raise the car more than the stock height? With his tire setup, it appears that his rear tires won't clear the fenders.

255 won't be stretching on a 9" wheel. With 255 40s and +27 offset, he won't be rubbing. He doesn't need to slam the car to the ground, making driving difficult. Besides, he doesn't have a body kit on his car that he has to worry about scraping.

Adam, you just can't seem to get your tires right.:sarcasm: Here's a setup that you had in the past. The tires were way too small

Ouch Rodel, bringing up something I'd rather forget. My 90 was a learning lesson for me. In case you haven't noticed, I've changed my path of modification. Right now I'm all about full trim, and returning the car to factory pristene condition (my parts list from the Toyota dealership is growing pretty thick). I'll be lowering my car tomorrow, after I get my Geo's rotors on the lathe. Yes, the rear wheels stick out 1/2", but I like the wheels. As far as stretching the tires and tucking the wheels inside the wheel well, I don't like my wheels up inside the fender. I also don't like having to fear some driveways and speed bumps. For reference, I drove this 1J Supra around for a couple weeks (I didn't set the suspension at this height, the previous owner did and I didn't have spanner wrenches).

Let it also be noted that I grew to hate those low pro's on my 90 very quickly. I prefer my wheels to be filling the wheel well (the top of the tire at the bottom of the fender). I'll take a picture after I adjust the suspension. The drop will be about an inch all around.

What are the specs on Joe's sorapa?

Rodel, I forgot to add that I'm all about simplifying my car. I'll be relocating the battery (just won a metal battery box on Ebay), installing much better flushmount headlights than my last setup (and installing it with the help professional fabricator), installing a Turbo-A duct replica (molding it into the bumper to make it smooth and seamless), and removing all the side trim. Simple is better.

Feel free to stop by my build thread sometime (link in sig) and see what's up with my ride.

Collin for you I dont think that will work too well. If you want some cheap ass rims get some sportmax. Atleast they have good offsets for alot of meat on a tire. If you want you can do it. It can probably work but I don't recomend it .

I looked into sportmax's today, and I found some that I really like, and yes the prices are awesome. Thanks!

i personally think a stepped lip wheel protruding from the fender with a stretched tire looks much better than a reverse/flat lip does.

those of u getting it REALLY close to the fender with stock/soft suspension need to be ready for a surprise when u get strapped to the dyno and at WOT tire goes BOOM!!!! :naughty:

im semi stretching my tire and my equips are just barely sneaking past the fender line i have already pulled out one full inch, and in the rear after being strapped to a dyno i can barely get a thick sheet of construction paper between the fender and tire. :aigo:

problems rubbing on the strut tower or the fender? i'm probably gonna roll and pull the fenders anyway for the fn01r's i'm trying to get. they're 18x9.5 +22. would that be too much to fit? otherwise i'll go with the +35

should be a decent all around fit. Depending on how low you are the front might rub. So you might have to roll the fender. The rear might need a roll too.

Uhhh fender roller, bat, pole, hammer,etc... Something to make the fender lip flat basically. go on you tube and search it. Some interesting video's will pop up.
