What's wrong with my brakes?

My rear left brake is dusting like a sandstorm and is making screeching sounds from a horror movie while not even applying the brakes. It also makes a noticeable ticking sound that gets faster with higher mph. After driving the car normal for about half an hour, the whole wheel had brake dust on it and was hot to the touch. I touched the brake for a split second and burned my finger. What's wrong with my brakes?

All help is appreciated.

I wouldn't know what I'd be looking at/for. Do you guys know how much a repair like that would run me? Would I need new pads? If I were to get new pads I'd get Porterfield R4S's.

take the caliper apart like if you are going to change brake pads and on the guide pins of the caliper which move in and out put some grease their that should stop the seizing.a repair can cost 1.00- 60.00 ( new calipers )

I took my car in just to have the pads done, turns out one of the calipers was hanging up,rusted sleeve.
Had the rotors turned ,new pads, warranty.BOOM! I'm happy.

Well...take it apart and you'll see. It's not that hard at all!
But I'd think that it would be rather hard for the handbrake to ''dust like sandstorm'' from inside of the brake rotor, no?

Yea, there's definitely some dust. I was hoping it would only be the parking brake because I'm sure than would cost much less than the regular brakes.

i've never seen them or heard of them before but from the picture they look exatly like the stock rotors straght from the factory i replaced my pads and rotors when i first got my car about 40k miles ago and they're still in almost brand new condition and steal is steal for the most part i don't think i would spend that much for street rotors when they're not even sloted i was able to get my stockers for about 70 bucks apiece just cause it says brembo and the sales pitch is well written isn't always a good thing

Brembo doesn't make slotted or crossdrilled rotors for our cars, they only make the blanks. People buy them and do the slots or crossdrilling to them (and I wouldn't trust it personally).

I have brembo slotted, they are labeled from brembo as slotted and fit right on. I got them from Raptor Racing off this forum. Unless they are selling blanks that they then slot and sell as brembo slotted, I don't know. I have had no problems though.
