did you do a compression or a leakdown test before you tore it apart to check the condition of the rings though? i would hate for you to go through all of this trouble, and then have a few cylinders that have low compression....
I called horsepower freaks and they said it will take 3-4 weeks to get the 2mm Cometic, but they strongly recommended the HKS Stopper 2mm. Although I mentioned that I didn't re-surface the block..
I'm going to call 935motorsports to see if they have it in stock.
Compression was up to specs, the rings and pistons are also in good shape.. The engine has 95K miles..
See the reason I didn't take the block out of the car is the fact that I'm in the market for buying a house...
So I know for a fact that if I take the engine out, I will do a COMPLETE build with new rods and pistons, rings, oil pump, etc.. (knowing me, like to get the good stuff)..
My original plans were 400hp+... But now I just want a stock reliable engine.
This isn't my daily driver, I am a Telecom Tech with company van, and a BMW 740i as a daily driver (which I even hardly use)..
So the Supra is for Summers, nice nights and weekends, no rain no snow
