My best guess is that that MkIV Zumtizzle posted submarined under something at high speed. Probably a pickup truck, who's bumper was about 2' high, just high enough go above the frame rails. This would explain the front/top of the engine being destroyed and the manner in which the front is crushed and twisted. Also, the missing roof was removed to extract the driver, as that the B pillar was obviously cut with shears. It would also explain why the rear end is almost undamaged and the lack of yellow tape or blood. If it was a light pickup, it would also explain the doors' damage and missing fenders, as that the wheels of the truck would have obliterated them.

It seems likely that the car ended up with the truck mostly ontop of it, in order to justify removing the whole room instead of removing one door, to extricate the driver. The whole car is crushed in a wedge shape as though it rear ended something light enough to lift, dove under it, and came to a rest with what it hit mostly ontop of the car. Is that even possible, lol?

The dash being destroyed is likely from people ripping stuff apart for the stareo and climate control, ect.

I'm tempted to say that the front bumper was modified somehow, as that one frame rail is bent in, the other is not. While making no claims to be a professional, or know anything at all, the bumper crash support was probably removed to "save weight". Otherwise, I would think both frame rails would have crushed together.

Funny thing is there were a handful of 1j mk3s shipped to the US. Back in the 90s and early 2000s when my cousin was heavily into the mk3 community he remembers someone coming on the forums and asking for help and saying he couldnt get parts for the thing. He posted pics and everyone was in aww and disbelief at the sight of a LHD USDM 1jz car.

Wish Toyota released mk3 US production numbers.

While this would be a cool bit of information, it's merely hearsay at this point. Without proof, I refuse to believe it.

You would think that they would have a slightly different VIN code.
Probably similar to: JT2__71___#######

Went today to get a few parts for the 240sx, and found a 81 celica in very good shape with the 22r still intact. Wish they would let you buy them out of the lot.

They dont?

At the ones I go to, whole cars are $500 if they still have nearly everything.

Nope! Don't know if its the lot or a local law, but they won't sell you a whole car. If they did I would have bought 6-7 cars by now!

In most jurisdictions, it depends on if they acquired the car as scrap, or as a car.

If they got it as scrap, they don't have a title and it's technically no longer a "motor vehicle", just a pile of metal and plastic.

I sold some wheels today to a guy who found a late 90's Dodge Dakota pickup in good condition with the keys in it and 200,000 miles on it. All it needed were a battery, starter, and stereo. Less than $300 invested total for a good truck. After 3 years in Washington if you find an abandoned vehicle and register it and nobody claims it you get the title to it.

Oh, and I free set of Dodge wheels that I sold to the guy. They were across from my house at the neighbors with a FREE sign on them. Easy $43

My dads big into muscle cars. We've drug them home from the scrap yard and parted them out then they let us take just the shell back. Thats pretty much all they want is the scrap.
