*shits pants* Hooo-ly shit. lol Must have been invigorating. I guess if I had one I'd do the same thing, though. Ya know, just take it out for a little 0-120 run every morning to officially wake myself up before going to school.

1000 are the cheapest way to get to 10sec. 160+hp to the rear wheel. wet weight 490pounds.

I don't know who this was or where they were but I have heard that the Supra in question was 100% bone stock at the time.

yep, or you could have a sleeper like us we pull out on occasion to dumbies talking trash with more money their mouths can keep up with.

(i don't own this of course, so don't come looking in my garage for illegal stuffs lol)

1998 zx9r stamped registered and licensed as a 2000 zx6r, bored and stroked to 998cc, full race prep on block and head, zero-balanced rotating assembly, 1 pound nitrous bottle mounted under seat, dry 25shot, 520 conversion, ignition advance, redline@15k, yada yada yada.... looks like a 100% stock motorcycle with a pipe, it is wider than a zx6, but most people never notice.

alot of dumbies on the new liter gixxers that have been riding for a few weeks, usually brag about how big and fast their bike is. they end up going home with a lighter wallet :biglaugh:

Poodles: So far most of the fast guys have been on Z's ;)

W and Y are both "Z" rated tires, just so everyone knows...

M 81 mph
N 87 mph
P 93 mph
Q 99 mph
R 106 mph
S 112 mph
T 118 mph
U 124 mph
H 130 mph
V 149 mph
W 168 mph
Y 186 mph

Hope that list helps, though in reality it's not truely a "speed" rating, but a rating of the amount of heat they will take. If you're pushing them hard around a roadcourse for example...

43 years ago I did 140 on Rt. 17 outside of Binghamton NY in a new '65 GTO convertible with a Crane cam and modified tripower carbs (first new car; yes I'm a senior citizen but REAL age is still 21 where cars are considered). That was 6100 RPM in fourth (high) gear with a wide ratio Muncie transmission. The section of Rt 17 was only two lanes but had guard rails so the local law enforcers had no place to hide. Had an almost stock '90 MkIII for some years, but now have a '91 I built up with 550cc injectors, Lex, Cometic, Spearco copy, etc. I've seen 120+ MPH on I-80 in northern NJ several times. Fifth gear? Not yet: Am running rich, but with 15 PSI boost and stock pistons (fitted loose) I don't want to take chances. I should have gone for Weisco pistons.

I've got a similar picture on my old cell phone when I first got my car. Bone stock It read around 145, at just below 5500rpm in 5th. It was taken as I was slowing down from low 150's. Fastest I've had my car because I haven't driven it in so long:cry:

Offtopic a little, but I was wondering about my Nitto 555r's. I'm thinking about getting a set to run all the time and I know they're made for the track, but are they made to run 140mph on a short highway run? Does anyone have any knowledge of these tires?

IJ, I see your raising your hand in the back of the class.........what do you know about this?

J: Sorry missed this....

I have 0 knowledge on the Nitto's sorry!

6500 flat in my 89 n/a auto, stock warn tires and rims

6550 (bounced off red line) in my 88 n/a (same engine :) ), 245/50/16 newish tires and stock rims

5200 in my 88T, 245/50/16 brand NEW tires stock rims

So according to my cock-alations;

~150MPH in the auto 88 n/a

143.2MPH in my 88 n/a

136.3MPH in my 88T

ON a closed track of course :sarcasm:

I'm slowing down man!

Edit: anyone know how fast the auto would have gone... the tire was almost down to the safety line on the tread.

Well being that I havn't really had my car running(bought it with a burnt up motor), I havn't driven it more than a few miles. Plus the speedo doesn't work, so I would guess about 30mph. Lol

THAT fast. Calculated to 165 MPH.

This was done with a 4:30 rear end, 245/40/R17 Tires, R154 transmission.

Verify that. :biglaugh:
158.4, which is quite fast for any car. You don't need an engine swap to do it either.

I rounded the tire size. You are still stock diameter, about 24.7". Tire makers often give out actual circumfrence of the tire. This makes me think of top speed test done on lane r ellis page. They couldn't get a car(modified) to go faster than a verifiable 156. They said it was bouncing off the rev limiter. The rev limiter will reach 166 or so in a 3.91 car with 6750 fuel cut of the 87-88(7M). Which gives weight to the top speed fuel cut devices sold by HKS. Your tach could be off by a slight amount also. You swapped all electronics and are not running stand alone are you?
