I'm just breaking you balls. I personally believe there harder. Tigher tolerances, aluminum and iron expand diff, there a lot of differances but if you take your time an engine is an engine you just have to build it right
The Rebuild parts for a 7M alone can buy you a pretty good crate sbc engine .
Parts are more then plentiful & cheap for it also.
