I put a deposit down on a few parts (replacement seats, new taillights and ect.) Bought them from a 'local' but won't be picking them for a month or two because he is actually 3 hours away.

I'll be driving down to Ohio to pick up an r154, ready to pull the trigger on the MC hd rebuild kit and bellhousing, my mechanic is looking forward to this build

Made my turn signals work again. There was a 8 pin plug on the left kick panel and it had 5 black and white ground wires. It wasn't plugged into anything so I just cut it and soldered on some eyehole terminals and grounded them. I was happy to get that fixed today. I just got my car going after the winter upgrades and only drove a little bit without working turn signals. It made me realize how important they are haha.
And then I put a switch in for the ignition wire on my alternator because it buzzes when I turn the car off and would probably drain my battery. It works.
Went for a drive. I'm getting used to the new 2JZ GTE VVTi. The sound of a 2JZ cruising at highway speeds is so pleasant!

I wanted to turn the Supra around today, back it in instead of front in... Well.. I failed miserably, there was a little bit of snow but it was enough to get the car stuck and resulting the use of the winch to get it out. I can't imagine driving that car in a lot of snow.

Good tires go a long way. I drove my '89 through several Canadian winters without ever a problem. Limited slip + decent tires + ABS = decent winter driving. I used to pull SUVs out of the ditch after they realised that 4WD gets you going, but doesn't help you stop or steer.

Routine maintenance: cleaned off the engine, repaired a coolant leak and emptied the oil catch can. Monday, the RX7 oil cooler gets re-installed with the oil temp sender, hooked up to the oil temp gauge located in the Supra's dash. Whoopie! Pictures are coming after the install is working. After that it's time to flush the brake fluid with new Castrol SRF and check the condition of the rotors and pads. Here are the pictures of the RX 7 oil cooler installed in my Supra. This thing goes all the way across, and adds one quart to the capacity! Van

built/cut/measured/bought all the parts for my new coolant overflow. No more random pop bottle overflow, getting it welded together this coming week. Some nice 4x4 aluminum square tubing that fits perfectly beside the rad...

Speaking of tires...
Got myself a set of new (to me) 275/40/18 F1's for the back for $200. I think they will go just fine with the 255/35/18 fronts

Decent looking quote, but it scares me a bit that they couldn't find the mount for the speedometer cable on the transmission...

I know your altitude can play a factor in when fuel cut is hit. Will you hit fuel cut sooner at lower altitude or higher?
I think it’s at lower because of the dense air but don’t remember for sure.
Lower. In AZ (2000') I would hit fuel cut like crazy. Moved back up to WY (6500') and never once hit fuel cut.

Yea that is why I don't understand why people get angry when other members ask questions that would help everyone no matter what thread it is in. I want to make a thread where people ask random questions about anything. I think it would make for a good sticky.
Here ya go:

And worth every penny. Quality parts aren't cheap for a reason. The cheap ones are cheap... for a reason.
Well said, they are very well made. I'd have another one if I ever had a CT26 equipped car. :D

Proper tires go a LONG way, as does getting used to driving with such little surface tension like you have on ice...

As for me, I realized I had completely misunderstood how to operate my MBC. Got it figured out now, but still think it won't be able to use it, hits fuel cut too easily even at 65 clicks backed out. :p
