I question its calibration, but given the road conditions, and the fact that those "all season" tires really aren't, it probably really was too fast. I was just pissed off about the SUV which was in front of me. Hangin in the fast lane up to about 90, then back down to about 70. When I finally decided that I'd just go around in the slow lane, he's suddenly up to 100, and I didn't want to pop back in behind him, so I figured that 110 would be enough to overtake. Bam.
