What did you do to your supra today? Pics

grsupra87

Let's go Pens!!
In the last couple days....got the Supra out of storage, installed new rims and tires, changed shift knob. Next Weds getting the B&G springs on, installing the Blitz Nur Spec turbo back w/cat delete, and getting Pa inspection. Here is with Rims and Tires, stance will be much better once dropped, and I can't wait to get rid of the jenky stupid muffler the Prev Owner has on there. While the Prev owner was very good and thorough about fixing any little thing that broke (always kept it stock) his choice of muffler was horrible, and the stock exhaust needs replaced anyway.

Yesterday when I stopped at Wal Mart on my way to work:

Unless I knew/heard/saw that motor run I'd at least pull the pan and throw a hg and new Toyota bolts at minimum in it. JDM motors didn't have EGR stock BTW. JDM just means it sat in a junkyard in Japan instead of in the US. Given 7M tendency to pop HGs and how shitty it is to do in car I would definitely check it out prior to install.

Replaced my shot carrier bearing. What a difference! No more fillings popping out of my molars. Best part is I found a reliable source for a direct fit bearing for under $80. Tomorrow I'm pulling my trans and swapping out my chattery Spec Stage 3 six puck clutch for a RPS Max Pressure Plate with a factory Aisin Full Disk. Hope it holds the Powah! :x:

I fear the reason why I may still have an exhaust leak after changing the exhaust studs with the DM kit and the gasket is that my manifold may be warped. Are there any good upgraded manifolds for the stock CT26 turbo?

I don't know about any upgraded manifolds, but I did see a brand new oem manifold for sale on eBay for what I believe to be a good deal.

I use the HKS EVC-S and it's very functional. A LOT of good control over boost. Not sure what the difference is but mine cost a lot more.

I moved to a new place so i'd have more room to work on the supra, I have roommates too which means cheaper rent and more money for car fun. The down side? well they asked to go into my room today to try to snake out the drain through my toilet. I didn't really want them in my room as i had boxes of stuff stacked up but i didn't have much of a choice as i was at work and they wanted draining water.

Well I come home tonight to find my Supra hatch shade box on the bottom of 6 other boxes in the living room. pull them off and low and behold my sun shade is broken in 2.

I'm really upset, it's not easy to find another and i spent around $200 on the one i did have. I'm bitching on supra mania because if i saw a roommate right now i might punch them in the face unexpectedly.

Don't have pics or videos but on the way home a friend and I had some fun me vs his 3000GT the 90s sports car battle. He has a little more mods than I do and AWD advantage but the mighty poopra hung onto his coat tails surprisingly well considering I still have a damn exhaust leak that won't go away. Even so we did a couple of roll runs and 1 dig, poopra pulled ahead until 3rd from a dig but he was only a car length ahead of me and we hit about 130 before I backed out. With a fully fixed exhaust leak and intercooler kit I might be neck and neck with him.

Grandavi HKS EVC5 usually costs a LOT more as well. At least 300 $ and up for used. Guess ill give it a try :)

Ok lets go to finish stripping that paint of the wheels.

Atmoperformance im sorry te hear abut ur roommates. Make them pay for that. 200 $ is not cheap.

Doat im allways surprised how supras allways catch up lighter cars at the end.

There's not really a huge weight difference between them. Our supra's just beat the 3000gt's in weight by about 250 pounds or so. Especially if it was a vr4 it weighs even more with the awd, turbos, and etc. I used to own a fwd 3000gt and I have to say it was like a tank.

Yea my friend's is an AWD VR4 they are about the same weight but they have more hp. Really sucks how Toyota didn't squeeze more power out of the 7M while everyone else was getting 280-300hp from their motors.

Well, last night was a lot of fun. Went cruising with the girlfriend, ran across a LOT of cars, but not many wanted to play. Raced a Camaro SS basically street legal drag car.. the thing was still loping at 2000 rpm lol.. full cage, et streets, needless to say I got my ass handed to me. Hard core haha. That race was just for Shits and giggles.

Then I ran across a sn95 cobra.. then I may have accidentally kinda sorta took him for a walk. So maybe my car is a little faster than I thought haha

Edit: forgot to mention, my night ended with blue and red lights flashing... Luckily it was just for expired plates. I could have swore they were up at the end of April!

"Just got her back from the shop... Didn't realise they expired..."

Totally believable.

My car is a couple months away from a full year sitting in a shop.. Lol. I put 2015 tags on it so I wouldn't forget.

I got a citation, cop said I just had to go to the courthouse and get new tags and it goes away, no fine or anything. But yeah I wish I couldve thought of that on the spot

If that happened in California, we would have to pay a $25 court fee and show the judge that we fixed it. SMH. That's why I have AAA, so I don't have to wait in the stupid DMV lines.

Here you can do it all online, and they'll mail you new stickers. Apparently they were due at the end of march. Couldve swore it was April though lol
