HA, so I'm not insane

Nope not at all thats what made the ae86s such great handling cars was the stock chassis flex kept all the wheels on the ground not to mention the weight Dist now to make them a drift car u have to stiffen them up

with our tops off the chassis does flex but not extremely just enough to where u can put the car to its cornering limit cause if u tried it with the top on ur gonna slide or bring the rear out

if that makes sence

ps i fixed ur spelling :sarcasm:

lol

I can't type for shit tonight...

there are many books that talk about suspensiona s a syste, and it includes the chassis as well. That's why I don't believe in getting tons of braces. Get your chassis fixed and in good shape first, too often braces are added as a band-aid IMHO...

Think "GoKart" no suspension as we know it and relies on chassis flex.

I've tuned my car to how I like it including the stock flex if I stiffen it I'll have to start again and more than likely lose the compliance that makes it nice to drive long distances.

It all comes down to the cars intended use and how much you're willing to compromise.

a big + 1 to this

you have to tune your suspension for your driving style if the car is your daily driver like mine is you dont want a full out stiff drag track suspension set up ya know!!!! lol

When I had my Koni Coilovers built they got the valving just about perfect I cranked them 1/4 turn to help out during high speed runs (150+mph) and haven't touched them since.

If I do some track days on slicks I can wind some more damping in to stiffen roll and pitch.
