Went to the track... highly disappointed, and found a major problem.

What cj said. We keep going back to the same issue and that seems to be the engine is remaining in open loop due to an O2 sensor or wiring problem Fix that first.

I hear ya cj. It's frustrating be so far away and have to do it this way. I think he's getting close though. I wish he had a graphical mulitmeter or a labsope.

This is freaking weird.

I ran a wire from the negative terminal, into the car, and tested the voltage from the OX wire.

~54-56mV. Same as I got at the Diag block.

Now, the odd thing - I'm back to that damn ground I mentioned earlier. If I instead ground the OX signal to the door hinge, I watch it swing around .440v-.460v, sometimes lower, sometimes higher, but always bouncing across .450v - JUST LIKE AN O2 SENSOR SHOULD!

Me thinks I've got wiring problems :3d_frown: As in, a ground that is being really pissy with me.

That should easy to find. Just check the wiring between the sensor and ECU. As for grounds, be sure the ground from the passenger side of the head to the firewall is OK. Same with the main engine ground. Or run a temporary jumper from the battery negative to one of the O2 sensor's mounting bolts.

I have to blow Dodge. I'll leave you in cj's seemingly capable hands. Good luck.

yeah, grounds can be a major issue.

one thing to check is the group of grounds that are attached to the to the intake manifold and make sure that the bolt is tight and that none of the wires are broken or whatever and also check that the ground cable from the battery is tight on the engine.

Something else, what exact o2 are you using a stock 3wire or the bosch 4wire?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

BTW, I am down near Lakeland if you know where that is.

Np, JJ - appreciate the help, man! I'm actually building the jumper right now, just to check that.

I'm also going to build a quick jumper, to send the signal from the O2 straight to the ECU, and see how that works... I'll be messing with this, and I'll update this thread when I make some progress!

Yeah, I know where Lakeland is, lol. Grounds all seem to be good, even the passanger head-to-firewall one. Using a stock 3 wire right now, and I've got the Bosch 4 wire to fall back on.

I think I'm going to finish checking through my wires, and call this a halt until I get the extra bung for the WB02, so I can compare the 2 directly. I've got the wiring diagrams here in front of me, so I'll start checking continuity between locations :)
