Going to change my water pump because it went bad. I have the 2jz water pump on there, so just going to switch it out. Three questions people:
1. I heard that the OEM water pump uses a plastic blade on the inside versus aftermarket autozone uses a metal one. I did take off my water pump and it was metal on the inside, but I thought my engine builder put on an OEM one. Can anyone comment on this?
2. Should I go TOYOTA OEM or Autozone?
3. I use a 2JZ clutch and fan. I was told that only the turbo clutch and fan can work on this OEM swap for the 1JZ. I read that if you use the 2JZ-GE clutch and fan it actually doesnt fit right cause it sits +/- XX" inches to close or too far foward. Well, what actually determines the height of where the fan sits is the clutch (i have a turbo one) or is it the fan itself sitting at a different offset. My question is will the 2JZ-GE Fan work? with a turbo clutch? and if so, that must mean that the fan itself whether turbo or not, is the same?
Thank you.
