No, not drag racing, track racing! its more of an autocross event, but were trying to get everybody we can....
Unknown Performance and sponsorships “Altamont Motorsports Park,” and the all favored “Get Real Behind The Wheel” program invite you to speak up for your right and get teen drivers off the streets from doing donuts, drifting, smashing through traffic etc… Get Real Behind The Wheel has been an amazing influence on young teen drivers giving them information and doing all they have in their hands to keep them off the street. Built in 1966 Altamont Motorsports Park has been a overall part of this granting them privileges to set up these events at there track, unfortunately our local raceway is only allowed to do a certain amount of races a year now I believe about 30 or so… due to noise violations etc… The city will not let them continue to do races every other weekend or so as in the past and that’s where Unknown Performance comes in.. we spoke with both head of Get Real Behind The Wheel and the owner of Altamont Motorsports Park and came to the conclusion that if we were to get enough teens and drivers from all counties to protest we may be able to overpower the cities decision our chance to do so is; “MARK YOUR CALENDARS PEOPLE!!!… March 8, 2008, AT 12:00 NOON” so we don’t have much time to assemble as many people as possible. Team, UNKNOWN PERFORMANCE invites you and your crews to meet us there and speak up because as an amazing group of teenagers willing to speak up and give back to our community our impact could be enormous. Knowing that the future is ours we shouldn’t have to say no to what we believe in… “TOGETHER WE ARE STRONG”
