I have a 86.5 that vibrates at 50 to 60mph everytime I drive. This vibration goes through the steering wheel, consol, mirror, most every part of car.I have replaced the ball joints, control arms, and u-joints, and it still vibrates. I think the center support bearing for the driveshaft may be bent. One mechanic I spoke to thought it could be something in the transmisson, what is the possibility of that or is it more likely driveshaft.

I got in my friends car, about a month ago, his had something like a thump feeling. Like your riding on a separated tire.......we jacked up the rear and put it in first and spun the rear tires on the stands.....you could see the driveshaft jumping up and down. Thats what it was, i guess, because he replaced it and it went away. Make since?

The center support bearing dosen't bend they will wear out. The rubber will get old and won't support like it's suppose to. Jack the car up and try to move the shaft back and forth, up and down. Shouldn't have much play.
