Nothing major, but here's the latest bit I've done:

Disassembled:

New fan on top, old on the bottom (quieter + moves more air!)

Cleaned the CPU (sorry, didn't grab a pic of the GPU!)

My lapping job on the heatsink (yeah, I don't fuck around when it comes to working on things for customers - it's mirror or nothing) - Should have grabbed before pics, it was horrible!

Test run - I also do a 12 hour stress test on the system to ensure all is 100% ;)

The gentleman's got me working on an Arcade, and he wanted the system black - but didn't want to throw down on a new black case - so yeah, painted it for him (can do airbrushing and such as well!)

The DVD-Rom button is NOT black - it's just that polished (reflecting the black around it ;))

Beginning the stress test:

Yeah, the guy didn't want me to replace the green front LEDs to match the blue fan. I really wish he would have gotten the green fan, instead. :( Not my money, I do as asked ;)

No pricing up yet - so far I've been doing it on a job-by-job basis, trying to figure out exactly how much time/materials so I can set up a reasonable price list. :)

What have you got in mind?

i'd like to have it run linux (mint elyssa, maybe) work with a wireless keyboard/mouse, decent size hard drive.

basically a computer i can have with the tv as my monitor, options to run xbox games as well as do some computing/internet surfing.

is the xbox equipment powerful enough to run this?

Yep, I can set you up an original Xbox on Linux, no problem. Sorry I didn't get back sooner! ;) What version is your 'box? V1.6 is a bit harder ;)

i'd say it is v1.6. from the reading i've done it looks like a mod chip MIGHT be the way to go in some cases. what would these cases be and is the xecuter3 an acceptable chip?

Screw that, Fuzz - liquid immersion cooling is the way to go

Clip, v1.6 can be modded, it's just a finicky bastard is all ;) xecuter is decent, I hear. I do more Xbox360 stuff than Xbox (like converting you from a 20Gb HDD to a 120Gb HDD ;))

Can do :) If I can fix the drive, it's $35 + s/h. If the drive needs to be replaced, it's $68 + s/h, and that includes the price of the drive.

Overhead is pointless when you can order it and have it quick.

Personally I like the clear Wii cases they make, the inside of the Wii looks like it was made for one...
