It's not just the LED's, there are a couple other features they do (they make it so you can tilt the controller to steer, smaller D-pad that makes it easier to use, rapid fire, ect...)

The mouse and keyboard adapter they make is OUTSTANDING from what my friend tells me. He was a diehard PC FPS fan, but with that he's loving some of the console FPS's...

I'm running the Xecuter3 on mine, no issues. I installed it myself, too. The only thing that makes the 1.6 boards a pain to deal with is you have to rebuild the LPC bus with jumper wires...but if you take your time and are careful, it's a snap. Mine's been running fine for 5yrs with the X3 chip...
