What valve spring compressor did you guys use? I can't seem to find one that will fit between the spring and the channel in the head.

I just built my own by using a large C-clamp and taking a dremel to a small section of pipe.ronnie4;1174894 said:
No, this was with the head off. With the head still on, I use a long piece of pipe that's been dremeled out, and push the spring down with my weight. Then I get a buddy to pull or replace the retainers.

I have the one that ronnie showed, I had to bend the claws to work with the head, but I didn't do the reassembly and i don't imagine it would be fun...
Is it easier with the cams out aswell? Cause I'm gonna be doing my cams springs and shims in a month or so and don't want to take off the head again lol cause if I have to I'm just gonna have the head ported and pistons rods and bearings done.

The caps go in order...the exhaust side is marked "E", intake side "I" and are numbered front to rear. And, a cap torque sequence:
