add some boost to my 4.0L and we can call it 8.0L and it will still be lighter then that 3.0L I-6 anchor weight..... ;)

Not to mention far lighter then any 8.0L out there....

Never been able to grasp that concept Chris an engine's an engine if it will do what I want I don't care who made it or where it came from!

Was watching a show on a hillclimb BMW sedan one night here and was AMAZED at how hard the driver was revving it then watched him clean sweep the entire season!

Turns out if has a JUDD V8 race engine in it so by your logic that would be wrong in some way in mine it's damn smart :D

No, I agree with you IAN if it will do what you want it to do, then go with it... My grudge is strickly agains GM... I have several family members that work for GM and I dont like or agree with GM's practices (hell, any of the BIG 3 for that matter)... and even more so the UNION's.... They pay and give way too much to thier employes for and they dont do shit for work for what they make.. The Corp. employes are even worse... And they have to awdasity to ask for a bailout... Fuck them and bullshit ways.... I'll even bet that they us some of the bailout money to fund NASCAR which is even more bullshit cause that has nothing to do with the cars that they produce or R&D for anything they produce unlike F1...

Again, I have no issue with mixing manufactures, my problem is just with GM, FORD, and Chrysler corp... Dont get me wrong, the LSx engines are great engines but I will not promote or advertise anything that has to do with GM...

I put a 20b in my 1st gen series 3 IIRC in your neck of the woods Ian..

My next project track car is a 20b powered miata...

Like Ian said straight cut gears... Stornger then hell, but whines like a bitch... I dont know why that one seems louder then others that I have heard plus the T5 box I had that had a G-Force straight cut dog ring gear set in it...
