Using Plastiguage?

I have personally never used it. It is pretty simple though. You apply some to a surface, torque everything down, dissasemble, then check the plastigauge against the reference card. From my understanding it is not the best method to use on our motors. A good set of gauges and calipers will be for more accurate, and yield better results. You dont want any bottom end bearings too loose.

Install the bearing lowers in the block lay a clean crank in nip off a pice of the Plastigauge with your fingernails lay this across the Crank journal then bolt the Cap down to it's torque setting.

Do NOT move the crank at all remove the cap then using the scale on the package compare it to the squashed plastigauge on the crank.

Scrape off with your fingernail and repeat on all journals.

Should I measure on multiple sides of the bearing? And by bearing lowers you mean to only have just the bottom bearing installed, not the top one? Or do I do it with both bearings in? Or no bearings in at all just the crank/connecting rod. Im a NEWB!

Ummm lay the lowers in the block

Put the uppers in the Caps ;)

Only have to gauge at the top of the journal.

You may need to move the crank so the Oil holes aren't in the way after you've done a few journals so be careful turning it while it's dry.

Radius, Diameter, Circumference? Im confused!

Im guessing a fine micrometer would be the best tool to do so with? And then I take the results to the stealership and have them do the rest?
