We're home.

It wound up not being endometriosis, but something far more extensive. Back in her early teens Theresa had appendicitis. It ruptured due to a chain of events that, these days would have started an instant malpractice suit.

However that event had left behind EXTENSIVE internal scar tissue (I have pictures) that has been causing all of her problems. The doctor removed all of it, and she's now resting upstairs in the bedroom. It was rough on her and she's pretty out of it right now.

I got to bed at 1:30 am, was up at 4:30 am and have spent the day worried about her. I'm about toast myself.

I'm going to get some rest while she's unconscious.

Later.

Were the adhesions on anything that will cause issues in later life?

The surgeon really didn't think so. I was surprised considering the extent of it. Most of it seemed to be just of the pain generating type. (Bladder attached to uterus, but no effect on function).

He expects her to be fully recovered in a week.

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

I hope DT has a fast recovery. Glad they found what the cause of all her pain was, maybe this will make things alot easier on her.

Always find it kind of creepy when the docs are like 'this is your problem!' then they open you up and go 'wtf - ok, this is the problem.'

At least your doc was good enough to spot the problem right there, and take care of it.
