I think those 1000+ dollar upgraded twins are a waste of money... Well, maybe waste is a bad word but that money could be used better elsewhere.

I wouldn't count on the twins, upgraded or not, getting you 500rwhp. They're still pretty small.

Not sure if you'll be able to fit a boss turbo on the CT26 adapter manifold either... You might as well go with a full manifold at that point, IMO. Aaron would know that better than me though.

Just some thoughts.

t3 manifold w/ a gt3076r or a gt3040 (gt3082) :)

edit: nvm you said 500whp.. regular t4 manifold and your choice of turbo (size of the turbo depending on how you want the 500whp)

Mike just dyno'd a 60-1 ct26 on his new 1jz with my manifold and a Stinger and it made 300whp at only 8psi! As soon as he hits 500 miles and the boost controller gets installed I think the skeptics are going to be silenced.

But it's not going to make 500whp without race gas reguardless of what turbo you run, and the gt35r would be about the right size to do it.
You will need well over 20psi, and on pump gas that's pushing it.
Although, once you have driven a 400whp 1jz I think you will be satisfied, and a 57trim ct26 should be able to do that.

ok... so lets talk.... ill be running a 1j, arc intercooler, upgraded fuel(440s or 550s, regulator walbro pump).... and lets say a 57 trim, with race gas... what could be the number, would HKS cams help... I would be happy with mid 400s at the wheels, I really want to stick with somthing bolt on, because I do not trust anyone to work on my car (in in upstate NY). any input will help.

thats what i was thinking...67mm or bigger.

i know the GT4088 is a 65mm think it would flow 500whp on pump? with BC 272 small core cams?

i haven't seen a gt35r hit 500 on pump. i always see them in the 23-25 psi mark

maybe i'll go with a gt4088 then

i'd like to have a gt4067 but im not spending over 1K on a turbo

You must not care about your engine if you run 25psi on 91 octane, or you're just ignorant of the consequences. Sure you "could" make 500whp on pump gas, but I'm not going to tell anyone to try that.

You should be smart enough to know that FL has up to 100 octane unleaded at the pumps here. Most stations carry minimum of 93. We also have 110 leaded, pump it right in if you remove your gas filler restrictor.
