there shouldnt be any coolant leaking from your intercooler... chances are that your coolant resivour spit coolant out onto your intercooler, making it appear that your intercooler is the culprit. the only thing that should be in your intercooler is air.

yeah man, do it up. not unless you have an air/water IC, which, chances are, you dont. you'd probably know if you did. i'm betting it's your coolant resivour. the next step would be to figure out why your coolant system is pressurizing!!! (possible BHG)

what they are tryign to say is that there is no physically possible way the coolant is coming from your intercooler. Maybe somebody was topping off your overflow tank and spilled it on the IC?

your IC is just really beat up, so i am not going to disagree with your decision to buy a new one :p

i looked at mine and the over flow drain from the OF tank dumps right onto the IC? might explain the coolant there..

but would it still be pressurising if i havent started it in a long time?

eh, no. if anything, it should have sucked the coolant INto the motor.

when i did my bgh fix i DID have coolant inside my intercooler. i was pissed, as I had to remove the bumper to take it out and empty it. for future referance, is there an easier way to remove stock IC?
