I have searched the forums but I may have the incorrect name for this part. Its the hose that comes from under the oil filler cap (where you put the oil into the engine) and snakes behind the altenator to go back into the block above the oil pan. Mine is leaking at the bottom and I want to replace it, but looking at its design I need to know a couple things.
1. What is its purpose?
2. Can it be done differently? This kinda looks like its a "wedged in" design and not done with a lot of thought. Mine presses against the back of the altenator (I don't like parts pressed against each other.. lol) and just seems that if I could elbow it from under the cap and run it direct to where it attaches to the block it would be more effective and not be pressed up where it is.
What the heck is it referred to as? lol.. I know I saw this in the TSRM once but I cant find it again. It shows the valve covers... (cam covers to some) but not the hose.
