i thought two step was just a rev limit for launching and not necessarily build boost, my civic has a two step and i maybe get 1psi. A anti-lag is a 2 step, but it builds boost when it is reving

you thought wrong? dunno what else to tell you....

i'll delve into the difference between 2 step and anti-lag at a later date....

for the stock ECU, only the MSD DIS 4 will work.

you might be able to get some of the wacko secondary rev limiters to do the same thing (Bee-R, etc.).
Would be the same if i am running a map ecu? i am waiting for mine this week, i guess i will be posting for help soon. :biglaugh:

^ one would think that if there are only two possible solutions, then there's nothing cheaper than those. ;) so, i'm going with a no.

to answer a previously asked question, the difference between a rev limiter for launch control and anti lag (if my understanding is correct):

a rev limiter will control engine RPMs to a set speed by randomly cutting spark and/or fuel in order to keep the engine at a desired RPM.

anti lag will do the same, but it will also dramatically retard ignition timing to actually cause combustion to take place in the exhaust manifold, which is what spools the turbo while this is taking place.

both are control with a switch usually triggered by the clutch pedal.
