TurboFreak;892483 said:It started! Idle about 1500. I'm guessing cause of the timing. And its blowing some white smoke out that back I think. Its about 20 degrees here so its hard to tell. Gotta fix a few little issues but it started! And sounded fine!
Sawbladz;892587 said:How did you get the head on with the block in the car and the head studs installed? I was under the impression that the angle the engine sits at would mean the head wouldn't clear the firewall...
MK3.0dudeman;892829 said:huh? maybe you have to move the harness out of the way a lil bit but it will slide right in place on the studs
TurboFreak;892936 said:Wrong. There is no way in heck the head will go on with those studs installed...haha. I snapped that pic before i took them all back out. haha.

TurboFreak;892955 said:So someone school me about the afterfixingBHG process. Is it ok for it to blow white smoke out still? I'm guessing it will go away? (It still could be the car being not warmed up plus 20 degree weather but I'm just paranoid) Do I need to find a timing gun and do that jammy?
Only problems I have now are that the timing belt is a little loose causing it to come up and hit the timing cover when I give it some gas. Its not loose enough to skip any teeth though.
And my idle is at 1500 rpms.
Thoughts on these problems?
