Never seen a 100% stock manifold do that much, they were all ported (NOT a fun job).

speedfreak426;1560934 said:No, just toasted the turbine side bearings on both. My Factory CT26 blew up like that though.
My 2 driftmotion turbos were toast after 200 miles each. can't figure out why, and now they refuse to warranty. Oil passages are clear, everything checks out with the motor. Just keeps toasting the rear seal for some reason, the compressor side never has a problem.

MDCmotorsports;1562040 said:There you go folks. Ignorance is NOT bliss. Prime example of why a potential problem should have been investigated. Since the problem was not investigated, the user now has "turbo carnage" and doesn't trust the "rebuilt turbocharger" when, most likely, it was not the turbocharger that caused its own failure.

If I was "chasing a compressor surge noise for a while", then that obviously means i was investigating the problem.
A larger vacuum source was tried,
the BOV was completely disassembled, checked, lubricated, and reassembled.
I did plenty of research on this and apparently it's a common concern. There is a misconception between compressor surge and hks ssqv valve release flutter. After doing plenty of investigation and listening in on others' similar concerns, my hks ssqv was operating normally.
I know what it sounds like a run boost with a bov line disconnected, and this is not the extent of a noise that was heard.
So before you think you can step up and solve the puzzle by pointing a finger, ask questions so we can talk about it and find the problem. This is a forum and that's exactly why its here. That shit doesn't fucking fly in this forum.
Arguments don't get us anywhere so lets just move on and get back on topic.

Any idea on power figures with my supporting mods?
Any kind of other equivalent turbo recommendations?
Would the oil line fitting adapter plate on my upgrade CT work with this turbo?
My DDP will work this turbo if the tab is cut off and i get a gasket with a divider, right?
That looks like a nice upgrade. But I don't really need a turbo capable to 680 CHP. Anything like that, just a little smaller on the turbo and the price would be nicehvyman;1562465 said:

Would be worth having someone that knows about them to pull one of the dead ones down and do a post mortem.
The link is addressed in this thread. I read through the whole thing and i liked it, but i seem to be getting driven in the direction of using a more reputable brand turbo.89supra7mgte;1562782 said:There is a thread started on the cxracing turbo. take a good gander at that. It states that the bearings are chinese, but read through it and make your decision
