You guys are looking too closely at the types of vehicles in the movie (those of you who are complaining about advetisements) don't worry so much about the majority of the cars being <insert brand name here> and just enjoy it ;).

I saw it yesterday, it was very entertaining, some surprisingly good humor, and spectacular CG. If you try to think about it logically like Joe, you will be confused. If you just watch it and don't think too much you will have fun.

The only thing that bothered me a little was the constant camera shaking. Some scenes moved so much you could hardly make out what you were looking at.

Oh, and the product placement of all the GM cars was soooooooo obvious. I bet Ford didnt have the money and not enough cool new cars available!

We've been mostly talking about the cartoons and shows and yeah we got a little out there and confusing doing that! That's what all the nerdy discussion was about. I just saw the movie yesterday and had no big gripes about it at all.

Ford, did have a Mustang in there though. The police car, Barricade. Did anybody else catch the slogan on Barricade that said "To punish and enslave..." instead of to protect and serve? That was cool.

LOL, yeah, I seen it too, thought it was pretty funny. Also, when bumblebee was first being bought, did you notice what car he was parked beside? A yellow VW beetle (the orginal bumblebee's car ;)).

Also, bumblebee had an air freshner hanging on the rearview of a bumblebee, it also had "BEE OTCH" written right beneath it ;).

Hey not sure if you guys get the same previous in the US as us; but appearently there was a wicked preview; but it never said what the movie was. I didn't get a chance to see the preview...damn m&m's with penuts are evil...I had to get some and for once the previews started right on time.

That would never happen because hardly enough people would identify with that. Everyone knows what a Camaro is though.

Ahh, I found a pic on yahoo, that's cool, seen a pic of the newer version cartoon form also, I like the older one ;).

Was it just me or did movie Megatron remind you more of the Beast Wars Megatron rather than the original? Just in personality, mannerisms, etc...

In the cartoon, Starscream and Megatron(well mostly starscream) whine at each other pretty frequently. In Beast Wars, if anybody talked back, Megatron had an absolute zero tolerance personality and usually scrapped any of his minions for speaking out of turn. Also would speak biblical crap about being the alpha and omega etc etc always absorbed in his own prowess and authority and the movie version definately seemed to act the same way. In the scene where Megatron escapes from being frozen, he just says "You've failed me once again, Starscream" and Starscream doesn't reply at all. Seemed like Megatron was exercising absolute authority and original Megatron didn't always have that authority. I'm thinking, had Starscream talked back, Megatron would have junked his ass without hesitation. But that's just speculation. (Yeah, he did in the animated movie but not before being completely overthrown and transformed into Galvatron.)

It seemed to me that they made Megatron convincingly more powerful than any other transformer in the movie and probably would have defeated all of them had he not been destroyed by the All Spark. Look how easy he ripped Jazz in half but Optimus took a pretty decent beating before destroying whicher Decipticon it was that he fought. I was definately held in suspense on how they were going to stop him. It was pretty obvious Optimus couldn't do it on fighting skill and strength alone.

Just some thoughts while I'm on lunch break at work...

I saw it today with my brother, he's 7, I was worried it would suck but I have to say it was great film for all ages and backgrounds, not really any cursing or gore so chicks were cool with it as were old farts. People my age like it because theres still gunplay, action, and badass cars. Plus the love intrest of sam, makayla was hot as hell and thats not gross cuz shes 16 in the movie and 20 in real life.

He loved it, I loved it and my mom loved it. Although different from the original show I grew to love at a young age, it was still badass and had a great message hidden inside of its action and plot.

A must see for anyone!!!!!!!!
