Alright now that my honda accord will no longer be allowed to ride on the streets again i was looking at one of those Toyota Yaris... they seem pretty inexpensive i was looking at the liftback version..

anyone heard any good or bad things about one of these?

keep in mind i am a college kid so i dont have much money...

I've heard they've been out for a long time in other countries... aparently they're a really really good car, I'm trying to convince my girlfriend to buy one... she wants an SUV though

The hatch is kinda cool, and they make the sedan in an "S" model like the Corolla. They also offer alot of the same TRD options that they offer as Scion.

i have yaris from year 1997 and i have to say its a very nice daily driver. Great realibility, great MPG (as u say), it has 300 000KM's with it and still it's running strong (0.9 liter engine). And i admit that this is one of the best cars for city (european cities have really crowded downtowns ;))

Ive got a Scion xA. Pretty much the exact same thing. Just without the ridiculous 21 compartments.

All and all its a great daily driver, excellent MPG, spacious and comfortable interior, and plenty of cargo space with the back seats down. The maintenance is super easy. I think if anything serious ever happened I could lift the tiny little engine out with my hands.

I dont like the lack of power from the little 1.5 liter, especially after driving a supra for so long. It does pretty good at getting up to freeway speeds though and you dont have to floor it either.

how bout this. for the $10k price tag, buy two of em. or, if youre hard-pressed for money, just buy one and drop a 7m into it :drink1: the sleeper from hell.
