Toyota Red Coolant = ?

You absolutely must use Toyota coolant because other types of inhibitors are completely ineffective on the exotic metals used in Toyota engines. Super secret alloys found only in Japan you know. Same goes for the water in OEM coolant

Jet & Summet: I guess I didnt phrase it right, but I didnt mean to say ALL coolants are the same as well. Obviously there are differences of forumlations out there with well known Dex Cool being the best example. But what I was trying to get at was the mentality that you have to use the BRAND of Toyota "red" because its from Toyota instead of another BRAND that is the same formulation. Sort of like Zerex that has been brought up in here

Has anyone heard of the Toyota Pink? When I was searching for Toyota Red, I came across the pink stuff. Not entirely sure what the difference is between the too....

Yep they actually took it off the market here for some reason....

Ahh that sucks. I was lucky enough to find 2 gallons of the Toyota Red on ebay for $15 shipped.

Here the red stuff is called long-life coolant, is not premixed, and was the factory fill for antiques like the Supra.

The pink stuff is Super Long Life Coolant and is premixed and is the factory fill for current Toyotas. It is HOAT non-silicate, non-amine, non-borate. Honeywell (Prestone) makes it for Toyota in North America.
