If you are using ARP rod bolts you need to have the rods resized no matter what, If it was knocking the rods need to be resized for a undersized bearing along with the crank shaft, You are using a different set of rods and ARP rod bolts is what I think you said, they still need to be resized if they are being used with ARP bolts, wether that set of rods spun a bearing or not.

As far as the crank shaft goes if it was knocking it needs to be resized/ground/polished for an undersized bearing. I guarantee if it was knocking the crankshaft journal clearances are no longer in spec.

Just a heads up, Hope your not planning on just replacing the bearings and hoping its good

You might need to resize the rods for the bearings. Bearing size is all in how big the crank journals are.

You bought a brand new crank from toyota?

Measure and find out. Most likely yes but i wouldnt guess on something so important and such a pain to change.

Yea I ended up getting ARP rod bolts, then found out they pull differently then the stock studs, so I had to get them line honed to make them true again. Lol, that was a bummer cause I didn't find that out till I assembled the bottom end a 2nd time. Thanks a lot Iboughtasupra. lol jk man.

STD toyota and std aftermarket bearings are two different things. You need to measure everything, and adjust your new crank as needed with aftermarket bearings for proper oil clearance, or order the correct select size bearings from toyota to set the proper oil clearance.

kinda had to the key ways on the original crank were fucked. ok so ill hold off on buying bearings. have the machine shop tell me what size bearings i need and ill bring in the eagle rods and crank when i go and get the block taken care of. thank you for the heads up or my project would of hit rock bottom fast!
