Scott...Don't slow down, you need to keep up the pace to catch up here....I've been dragging my feet trying to help you close the gap. I have a feeling it will take some good time even after I paint to do all the trim work, wheels/tires, suspension, etc. Plus new cams maybe someday.

Well, body work = frustration for me. 2 weekends ago my air compressor just couldn't keep up with a DA and I dont want to have problems when I start spraying. So.....last weekend I got a big compressor and spent the weekend runnning 220v to the garage, and installed the comp. This weekend I was finally rocking on the minor dents and sanding.....then when I was trying to remove trim around rear hatch glass, I put a little too much pressure on it and it burst into 10,000 pieces. Anyways, I am now looking for a 89+ turbo hatch locally, so I am getting rid of the one part of the car that had rust!!

I don't know how it's looking for this car for Chicago meet! I'm taking off the week of the 4th to try and catch up, but I dunno. Still haven't heard a thing about when and where on the meet either??

Have you considered HVLP for spraying?

I am using HVLP guns, they still take a good amount of cfm's, but I got that covered now. I'm HOPING to have everything nearly ready for primer next weekend. I'm going back out now to cover the rear hatch with plastic so I can get back at it

I just love my POS Wagner HVLP blower unit because it can't store moisture like a compressor.

Ken that happens to the best of us!!! I did the same thing but not to my car. When I was taking the trim off of a parts car in a wrecking yard for my car I broke the back window in the parts car. Needless to say I finished taking the parts I needed and got the hell out of there....lol.

The worst part is the hatch is going to be a pain in the ass and expensive as hell to ship.

Thanks s8795, and thanks Ryan, I've been on here so little lately I never even saw that! I'm not gonna pay to ship a hatch, I'll dig one up locally. And to think several times I sent good hatches on parts cars to the boneyard because I couldn't get rid of them! maybe I will just buy some Lexan

BAH, haven't posted pics because it's nothing to look at. Shooting for primer on July 4th. I have a body guy coming over to work with me Tuesday If we get it finished, I'll wash the car and garage tues night and shoot it weds (crossing fingers)

Looking pretty goo.........hell, who am I kidding? Like Mr. Driftking said, it looks like shit...................We do know that it'll look awesome by the Chicago meet though. I'm going to polish my car as good as I can so I can represent the blue supras. You reds are making it hard for us blues.
