Have been slow at work last 2 days so I did some work on my tail lights and lettering on rear moldings. Here are some pics of my mad painting skilz.

Thanks to my gay blue buddy for the idea on the tail lights, and to Suprahero for allowing us to admire Vixen's rear end. I took it to much more extreme than Ryan did on Vonda's, but they look awesome. I will take a pic when they are in and lit up tomorrow so you can see that they actually still light up:)

Ryan, they turned out so much cooler than I thought!! I'll get some good pics tomorrow in sunlight. I didn't use tint like you did, I used single stage black in the dc3000 clear coat....about 3 clear:1 black. You can lay on coats ( I did 2) until it looks dark enough, then you can 2000 wet to thin it out if you want more transparency. After the 2000, buffed out with wool, and polished with foam....did all that with a little mini polisher I picked up at harbor freight. They look like they were made that way, you can't tell they are painted....it really was a good idea. Cool part is, if you get any scratches you can buff them right out with regular compounds instead of specialty plastic stuff.

Is it actually legal to tint your tails like that in your state?

Actually, haven't been able to find that anywhere....I'm gonna take it over to one of my cop neighbor's house and ask when I'm done.

Technically it's not legal by DOT approval. Thats why when you buy tinted covers or the taillight spray cans it states that it's intended for off-road use only. But most cops won't say anything. I found this out a couple years back because a guy stopped short in front of me and I never saw his lights cause of the tint. I read up on it and DOT doesn't approve of anything being on your taillights that can obstruct or obscure the light. Kinda like how the underbody lights are only illegal if their excessively bright or flashing.

Or red or blue... At least, thats how it is in florida... I got yelled at by a cop because I had blue l.e.d.s in my windshield washers... "You know I can have your car impounded for that! GRRRRRRRumpy!"

You are going to have an amazingly beautiful car! You had better invest into some sort of forcefield to put around it. They don't cost much more than 1-2 years of insurance.

I am seriously thinking of getting an appraisal when I'm done for some full coverage.....unless I could really find a force field:icon_surp
