FB = 1st gen RX-7 81-85 production
FC = 2nd gen RX-7 86-92 production
FC3C = 2nd gen RX-7 convertible
FC3S = 2nd gen RX-7 Coupe
FD = 3rd gen RX-7
FE = RX-8 (sometimes also called SE3P)
a buddy of mine's mom owns a rx8 and he says it handles pretty well. guess he took it into the mountains and even had his mom riding passenger. come to think of it i had one trying to play w/me on an on ramp a few yrs back as well...i was driving my 89 n/a at the time. it was a fun time...though playing w/that other one on the way up to one of the casinos was fun too. i hated the FD till about almost 10 yrs ago when i first got to drive one...this was the first car i started learning how to drive manual trans on. lol fun little rocket. now the FD and FC are both on my dream list. too bad my ex (obvious dumbass) blew 2 motors in just a few short months on that FD. first time was 2-3 weeks after he bought the car...2nd motor was just a short time later and completely his fault. motor go boom. he developed an oil leak and seized the motor. i told him not to put NOS on it...or to at least wait till he did some research. tried to remind him he wasn't dealing w/a 4 banger or anything like what he had delt w/before, but of course he didn't listen. :3d_frown:

I just assumed that you call them by the codes they were given. FD3S shortens down to FD, FC3S shortens down to FC, and as for those older ones, I know one of them had the code of SA22 but I don't really know what you guys call them. Oh well. I was just curious.
