Factory alarm is connected to the starter and known to be rather problematic,may try there.There has been a number of threads on that.

Like I said earlier in this thread, keep some money on hand to fix things here and there as they come up. The starter is a prime example, and I'm sure you'll find something else shortly that will also need attention.

I'd focus on the general maintenance first.

i went through this before i baught mine. I could either spend 2-4000 for a mostly orginal supra or 6-10,000 for a well prepped one. paid 7200 for an upgraded turbo, hks stopper hg, and a very very very long list of replaced/upgraded parts including paint, drivetrain, fuel, and suspension....
