If its a R154 Transmission in that car then it alone is worth the 700 bucks. :) If u have somewhere u can work on it you could part it out and make some cash. Plus u would learn a lot about the car from taking it apart. Just a Idea

Are you saying that the R154 is worth $700?!?

cool good call. as others have stated, its the little things that add up (money, time, workload and stress..)

buying a car thats already running, or at least intact, is gonna give you the teardown experience to be confident when youre putting it back together, no matter what youre doing to it. these cars can be super nice, but your starting point in terms of condition governs how long its going to take before youre satisfied with the car.

Make sure your budget allows for the maintenance that you WILL be performing on this car at one point or another. I know you want to clean it up and get it looking nice; but keep in mind that it's a 21 year old car, and it WILL have things that will need fixed or replaced. Make sure you have some money set aside for that.

Its really not about what others would do, its about how deep your pockets are, how willing you are to learn body/engine/interior work, and how much time/patients you have.

i say hell no.

it looks like an abandoned car. the motor doesn't look like it has be worked on for 10 years. just wait for a better deal man. and considering you didn't know what a block is i HIGHLY suggest you wait for something that isn't so trashed. just looking at it i can tell what has been put into it. (not much.)

i'm not trying to be mean its just know what it would take to get that car looking and running good. and its probably more that you want to deal with even though it seems like a "fun" project.

The car you seem set on now is a nice looking car. The color schemes are somewhat rare, so if you swap in grey seats, make sure you put the tan in a safe place. What is the price on that car? Be prepared that it may need work before you pay off the balance. DO NOT forget this forum! And, DO NOT sell the daily driver you already have, it will prove itself invaluable.

okay guys i did it!!!!

i bought a white supra. midnight blue intiror with the 1992 doors so i got 6 inch speakers. wooot baby!!!!

okay
the outside of the car is 7/10 kinda ugly but you cant tell inless your close. its white

the inside is leather midnight blue and beautiful but there are some tares here and broken stuff there.

the engine is perfect!! it drives awsome the turbo was boosting at 8lbs!!
jesus. it has the ct24 so its very good.

the only problem it has is that it doesnt start inless you push start it since its 5speed. i think its the alarm since i dont have the remot i cant remove it. its connected to the starter.

someone told me it might be a fulse for the clutch.
but im going to search around see if anyone else had the same problem

THANK YOU EVERYONE for helping walk through this.
you guys the best!! haha =]
