All part of the "Longevity" issues I cited at the start of this thread, Ti valve wears on the Hardened stock seats, valve recedes and closes the Lash, if you don't swap in new shims the valve hangs open a touch as the clearence closes up and torches the valve, end of engine. :(

Jump on HPF's site and check the Ferrea prices on Keepers and Retainers to compare prices, from memory that sounds like a good price but I did mine years ago.

I know you said that, but for some reason it didnt click in and i was understanding it in a complete different way :-/ , Now that i read it again, i feel like an idiot . I was so hyped up for nothing lol

I just did a quick search and i see they are all 300+ for the retainers. So if anyone would like i can get them with the keeprs for 260 :)

thanks

DelWest is used to selling to race teams with deep pockets, so what they say has to be taken with a grain of salt.
I've used bronze seats with Ti valves in the past with good results.
But with the Casidium coatings that are now available, so the seats may not even be necessary.
I run bronze guides anyway, and I do all my own valve work, as I didn't like run of the mill work that I see shops do on other than their own engines, so I spent almost a grand on seat & valve equipment.
I just don't like being a part of the 'BOB' croud (bolt-on-boys).

Figured as much Saif, I wasn't being a prick or a smartass just don't see much call to try and run race parts on street engines due to the crappy bang/buck ratio ;)

Lots of good info here...what's more good reading on valvetrain development? And I mean books; I think a good volume on this subject would prove a good addition to most of our libraries.
