Titan Harness Bar Install, difficulty mounting.

Hello forum,

I'm installing my Titan Harness Bar with a small hang-up. The main bar fits tightly between the stock mounting points. So tightly, that proper installation would require me to trim interior pieces for the correct installation.

I''m I right to assume that triming is necessary for correct installation?

ZERO trimming for this part. I JUST installed one in my brothers Supra last Sunday. It is a very tight fit but it does work. I bolted the bar to the one side then put a jack under bar (wood on top of jack so bar wouldn't get scratched) to bring it up for the hole to line up. You can place the jack on a tire or something since it would obviously not reach otherwise.

Here it is installed on my car. I drilled a hole in both sail panels so they will go in and look clean. I don't know about not trimming the interior, mine was so tight I had to "persuade" it to fit then install the sail panels.

The one I have, not installed yet, but was in Sean's car(2JZMK3) seemed a bit tight, even with the panels having holes drilled in them and the bar going thru them.


I would PM Sean(2JZMK3), his looked really clean with it hiding behind the panels.

I test fitted the bar and used Duane's method. It worked like a charm. No cutting or trimming necessary.

Now I need to buy some lock washers and thread sealer, so the bar is totally secure.

I have one question though. I am not using my car for competition, only for fun on the weekends. I want my Supra to be safe, so I'm considering using Cage padding on the Titan Harness bar.

Does this seem unnecessary?
