Nope, as I said, the 7M-GE uses a VAFM and the 7M-GTE uses a KVAFM. The differences are pretty well explained in that document I posted the link to. Essentially, the VAF is the most restrictive meter you're going to find.
That said, there are ways to swap it out for something more modern... but it's not too cheap.

Well, if you're thinking of going with an "all motor" build be forewarned. The 7M just doesn't have the displacement to make much power even with a fortune spent on it. Ask AJ's 88 and Defiant7M...
