The car looks like it has come together nicely.

Hopefully the front main doesn't cause you too much grief.

Steve, are you by chance related to Troy?

I wish! haha

we may be somewhere down the line because our names are the same, and it's not a very common name (there aren't very many of us). But as far as I know we aren't.

Hi
Congrats man!

The vids and pics are clean

I got a 91 cressida, and i was wondering what trans did you use for your motor?

and what other 5speed transmissions would be good for the 7mge?

Conrats again...

Thanks itai,

I used the stock mk2 transmission..w58. It's more than up to the task of handing the 7mge's horsepower ans shifts nicely. no need to upgrade. I'd use just that for your cressida's 7mge. I am unsure of your mounting situation though. I'm pretty sure the mk3 w58 is different in that the shift housing and knuckle is different. but I am unsure..you'll need to do some research on that one.

school is taking up all my time right now and the supra will likely be stored this weekend.

I can't wait to clean up some loose ends on the car

-reroute the wiring loom
-get the heat to work (I accidentally threw out the wiring harness it needed...)
-replace the front main seal
-retorque head
-fix slight interference issue of oil pan to crossmember (vibration)
-install mk3 throttle cable
-install new throttle linkage that isn't painted and doesn't stick.
-install new powersteering pump that doesn't whine
-ziptie some wires up, remove unneeded 5m wiring.

and finally, my favourite part.....put synthetic oil in it!!

for now though, it's going to get another oil change with cheap oil for storage (it's fourth in 5000km). and sleep until the spring.

all should be easy, relativley fun things to fix.

the car is definatley running a bit rich. I may try and track down a US spec ECU and throw the EGR back on to see if it makes a difference. I found that I actually DO have the EGR assembly, that I must have found in my junkyard travels over the years lol.
