Tial BOV

You might be able to rice it up by placing a big hose over the entire BOV and recirculating the other end back into the intake Iirc on the design of the tial, the vacume hose would be inside the larger one, so it wouldn't work really :(.

its strange, everytime I hear a video of the Tial it sounds different :)


I LOVE how it sounds under really low boost though... when I was in vancouver one of the mk4's passed me with just a few PSI and shifted and the sound was absolutly awesome. like the first time it blows off int he lexus video

I peronally love the sound of that BOV. There are only a handfull of ppl I know using this type, and they are all on here. Most ppl that ask you what kinda BOV your running that have any knowlege on turbo cars would probably say something like this:
Person: "what kinda BOV do you got?"
Me: "It's a Tial 50mm BOV."
Person: "no, I meant what type of BLOW OFF VALVE you are using, not the wastegate."
Me: Looking at them like they are a complete dumbass, "I'm sorry you missunderstood me, but I'm running a TIAL 50 MM BLOW OFF VAVLE!"
I then comence to pop the hood and point it out to them.
Person: "oh....."

I looked all over Driftmotion and I couldn't find a Tial BOV copy. :icon_conf

I've been meaning to try to get one for a long time now...now that I know what it is, I am dead on for trying to find one...new or used, real or copy (as long as it's not complete China-made crapola). ;)

You can find the knock-off's on E-Bay all day long. As for the real one's...it's hard to beat HP Freaks prices. I think they are around $250.00, with the flange. The E-Bay copycat is only available in polished aluminum too, whereas the 'real deal', comes in a multitude of pretty colors!!! LOL!:biglaugh:

I know what your saying, but doesn't the stock DV valve get recirced behind the AFM. Meaning, in front of the turbo?? So what I want to know is, how does it meter the excess air behind the metering device?:1zhelp:

Also what bugs me out, like what you commented about stalling why doesn't it happen to everybody? I've yet to stall as a result of the SSQV.
