So me and a buddy were looking around on another oldschool toyota forum that we used to go on regularly(Dori-Kaze). We were looking for an MR2 or something for him for spring/summer(he had one last year and had to sell it) Then we came across a for sale thread titled "Supra MK3 Turbo".
We open the thread thinking, "oh this is gunna be like a $7000 supra" blah blah blah. We are reading through and found this...

Supra MK3 Turbo
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
maybe a MK3 Targa Turbo
ok so story is, oil line to oil pressure gauge blew up and caught fire burned out my harness and some other rubber/ plastic parts. i dont have the money to repair. and i need a drift car sooner rather then later. icbc is giving me the option to by the car back and i was wondering what kind of interest there is for taking the car. heres the details:
silver with grey cloth interior
body:
-great except for pass side door and fender have small dent and no trim. small amount of rust on rear fenders
-all glass good except windshield.
-targa has no leaks but not 100% paint
-no rust on hatch.
interior:
- grey cloth no rips. power seats work 100%
- trunk is gutted. i still have the wood piece in 100% factory condition.
engine:
as soon as i lost oil pressure i shut it off. no oil starvation. fire at back of engine bay.
-jdm 7MGTE
-most electrical is fried.
-just re-gasketed the motor in september. (receipts to prove) (hg not blown)
- OE HG torqued to 70ftlbs
- very small amount of shaft play in turbo. ported waste gate.
-R154 trans had no problems. just did trans fluid change in september and november.
-exedy oem replacement clutch.
-ebay 3inch dp with stock elbow.
-ebay intake filter adapter.
stock supra wheels.
pics of damage
Before Damage
sorry i cant take anymore pics right now as it is in icbcs yard.
i need to know by days end today.
We were like holy shit that sucks. Then we saw this...
"most of the ashes are from the hood liner, that made the biggest mess. first 800 takes it "
HOLY SHIT! $800 for a turbo supra that just needs a new wiring harness and a few random hoses!!!!
So my buddy Pm'd him.... and yesterday we saw this in the thread....
"car is inicbc's possession"
The fucker crushed it!!!!! It was perfectly fine and all it needed was a new harness damn it! I replied to the post with this...
"Dude is there any way AT ALL that you could get this car back?
That was possibly the stupidest move ever!!! I hate seeing perfectly good supras going to the crusher!!!!! "
I got no answer from him..
So anyways thats my pissed off rant of the day. Pretty much this guy is on my hit list now :icon_razz
