You'll just confuse the Lad as you didn't post a pic ;)

Just got back from Moes house.

Its an electrica problem. Weve traced it from between the heater servo contol thing and the wire for the VSV...

This wiring harness is a fucking mess

Are you sure the VSV is good? I presume you know the wiring harness is jacked because it's not supplying 12v when the engine's warmed up and the A/C is off?

We tried 4 working VSV's.

You need to remember, My car isn't stock, Its a 1JZ swap with an Urbano Harness, The wiring harnesses this car has are hackjobs. Im probably gonna see a lot of problems because of it soon.

Okay > This is what we found > The VSV is not a problem.
IJ, when Kyle came to my place, he had already switched the check valve as he was told, but there was no vacum. He had it right the first time.

Between the two terminals, it gets 12 volts.
When the heater temperature is changed, it remains close to 12 volts. I think this voltage should change accordingly to allow the vsv to open/close the vacum supply?
Anyone can confirm this? My car is down or else I would check.

When I plugged in a known good vsv, it clicked, then right away started allowing vacum through, but nothing changed with temp. change
The VSV also started getting warm .
This led us to the conclusion that there was a short somewhere that caused this circuit to have constant voltage, hence keeping the vsv open at all times.
Yellow wire has close to 12 volts and this is what it is supposed to have.It is part of the gauge cluster circuit ( 7.5 amps)
The Black/yellow wire comes from the A/C Air Mix Control servo motor > into the IHI plug ( pin # 1) then on to the engine Harness ( IH1 - Pin # 1) to the VSV plug.

My conlcusion is that there is a short between the servo and the IH1 plug.
Why??? Becaue the Dash harness looks like it was burnt at some time and point. I still saw few exposed wires which I taped up. There was other dash harness that does not have the factory casing at all and just hangin loose, and there are splice connectors on the wires....
Yes..Kyle is right....his harness is JACKED UP!!!!

hehe, well he arrived at my place before I got home, so he was pulled up on the driveway, had his hood open and just walking around. I entered my house and I saw a few terrified women in.. lol. Then I realized....they must have seen the mohawk Kyle is sporting around with ,,,, lol

So, when you supply vacuum to the diaphram, does the connected armature move the HCV?
