Theorettically... If my Heater VSV is closed......

There is an amplifier in the Heater control that can die and no matter what you do with the VSV or controls it'll blow cold.

If the Amp is blown you won't get hot air full stop amen

You can wire the Heater Valve open or remove it totally and there will still be no hot air nada zip zero zilch not a skerrick nyt nothing sans heat cold even.

Well it does blow hot, I would rather have it work correctly rather than jank it like 90% of people here.

I am hoping the VSV will fix my problems

Ok what happens if you pull the Vacc line on the actuator and plug it?
(just went back through the entire thread sorry I thought you had the more common no heat bug)

Apply vacuum to the heater valve itself?

Aie, Like on my foggy window drive in the rain back to my house after buying the car.

A rather lukewarm heat, Nothing HOT but not cold, but more on the cold side

Ok the actuator is leaking internally.

Next thing to check is run the motor put your finger on the end of the vacc hose and have someone switch the heater on and off you should feel it suck/not suck.

You just need to try a few basic tests before throwing parts at it

That way you can narrow it down and it may end up being something really simple.

Let me just clarify, Have the hose coming from the heater valve and finder on the side that would go on the VSV or am I going backwards?

The check valve coming from the diaphragm which controls the HCV, I'm pretty sure that's backwards.... it only works when facing the right direction and the way that it's on there no vacuum would ever hit the diaphragm.... unless the check valve is shot.

The little black and white thingy in the middle of the vacuum tubing.
