I've got some Tein HA coilovers. I'll get some accurate numbers on them and take some better pics of the car. I have pics with both MKIV TT rims (close to tire diameter of sawblades tire diameter) and the 19's that I have on there now.

Thoughts on this thread (might not matter if a new one gets created and stickied in the Supsenion Forum):

-Everyone likes their own signature but I don't think you need the sig in ALL of your reserved posts.
-Also, I like looking at pictures of Supras, especially dropped ones, but it would be nice if they were clickable thumbs so that I could CHOOSE which ones to look at. Plus the numbers and descriptions get lost in all the pics.

^^^All up to you, just a thought.

Thanks for getting this thread going, it's been long over due. I and many others appreciate it!

PS - I'll be posting my pics and info in this post to try to keep the thread size down as much as possible.

Good ideas, ill go over some things again. I was worried about things getting lost, didn't think to use thumbs

DIBBS!! Will add pics of all my set ups over time.

Eibach + KYB GR-2. Really nice ride. Loved it for what it was.

Tein HA Brand new :) This was my first coilvover set and I really like them. I would have loved them more if they were a tad stiffer on track.

Stance GR+ love the feeling of these coilovers. Not super stiff but gets the job done for street and track.

Borhor, if you could, please get a more lit picture of your stance coilover setup and post it up, thanks

Thanks, and nice job! Soooo much easier to read IMO. I might be the only one though lol

I guess BorHor got the Tein HA spot. Only thing I could add what it looks like with my rims and tires. LMK if you still want them.

This could be a very good thread. The only problems I see is with the qualitative part. Most people don't have a good baseline so stiff/soft/harsh/bouncy/etc are all relative to what they've experienced and sometimes are far off what they really are. I mean people have different tolerances and different opinions and that's fine, but I've heard people say that lowering springs and oe replacement dampers was too stiff and people say that cheap coilovers ride much better than stock.

So I would at least include who is the source of the information in the first couple posts. Just so they get credit and can be contacted for specific questions if needed. And also to know who is giving the info, it helps to know who it is and what they've experienced to compare this stuff too.

If you want to do heights, pick a point on the chassis that people can measure to. From the ground to the top of the arch on the fenders would work. Or to one of the ride height measuring points under the car. Either way, just try and make it the same for everyone. But also including tire size is very important for this because that will change everything.

And vehicle weight is also important. A lighter car will compress the springs less, so it will lower less on normal lowering springs and ride differently. So even if people don't have exact numbers and estimate would be good.

And for handling reviews, include what sway bar setup you are running as that will also determine how the car is going to handle. And what tire brand and model you are using.

If all that is included, you will be able to eliminate a lot of the variables or at least account for them and it will lead to better info.

Tim

Just saw this now. I have already credited the people I could find again wiht their comments because i came to the same conclusion you did. I will add how to do proper measuring in the contribution part of the thread, weight guesstimation, and along with what other suspension addons the have (ie, swaybars, poly bushings etc.)

I did. But if you think about it it pics don't really matter because since it is height adjustable it is is based on how the person wants it.

Damnit! lol I have great pics of Intrax springs with stock struts but couldn't get ImageShack to load the pics.

keep trying. I find if you get imageshack's toolbar for IE, its waaay easier to use, not to mention you can upload multiple pics.

Here is mine

- RS*R springs
- Tokico illumina II's
- Review: This setup is definately not one of the stiffest nore the best setup as the RS*R springs are not ment for Takico brand shocks. The RS*R springs blow the shocks in less then a year and the car becomes to low and rubs on the both front and rear wheels and the ride becomes very sloppy and stockish. The stance is nice but the setup is not that great and Takico's are to soft.
- approx. drop - lowering (F/R): 1.2" / 0.8"
- 1989 toyota supra, turbo, targa, 5spd
- Wheels/ tires: ADR Cypers, 18x8.5 in front and 18x9.5 in the rear with 245/40/18 in front and 275/40/18 in the rear.

Please include at least a review of the product and wheel/tire size, if you have anything else suspension wise too, swaybars poly bushings etc.
