I think I can send the tank for 15 bucks each way. So if you still want to weld in the sump, I will send the tank to you along with the sump once I get to that point. You could pm me your address. Thanks Bud!!

Im actually looking to pic up some harnesses and ecu off a turbo 5 sp i think next weekend. I had a buyer for em, but not sure, so if my buyer backs out, I'll send ya the harnesses if you are still in need of em. Im trading my interior for the harnesses and fuse boxes, so its a pretty sweet deal. I have been ordering all my parts for my build over the past month or so (some from you more recently) and once I know what I will not be needing, i'll send ya out anything I have extra. I am pretty sure I'll have an extra head ( so long as its in decent condition) and I have some stock GE cams, and cam gears. Lemme know if there is anything you need and I'll keep an eye out for em. I also have a 3 piece wing sitting aswell. Its coming off my car in prep for another style of wing. But if the harness I am lookin to get is decent, i'll send it out if my buyer falls thru.

Also once my top plates come in, I'll have a full tems set of suspension that im not going to be using anymore. With the tems units attached, and if I can figure out which box it is, I could prolly send ya the tems computer too. I also have a good working ABS computer too if you would like that.

This is taking so much longer than I thought it would, but I am going to make a new effort now that spring is here. This damn economy has just set this car on the back burner for most of half of last year. Time to dust off the parts, oil up the tools, and get back to work.

Here is a pic of the car as of last month. Anyone from Ohio can relate to this.

Hard to tell by the pics covered in snow, but has it been painted yet?
If not,I'd be down to donate paint/bodywork(as long as you have a garage and compressor to spray it)I'll supply all the materials as long as it's not a crazy expensive color(s),if the color is expensive I'd ask for a lil' chippin' in on the basecoat, but I'd cover the rest.

Has not been painted yet Andy. Paint party? It would be great for you to do this. I have everything needed to paint and prep the car as I used to paint cars. Painting maybe a little further on. I think red is going to be the color inside and out. When the time come, I will be sure to hit you up.

Got a little work done to the block, line bored the mains, bore and honed the cylinders, milled the deck, and put a little black paint on the block to top the rust after I washed it out.

Here is a close up.

I am going to try and get the seats and carpet out later today to get ready for the guy who is going to install the cage.

Looks great Rich. Hopefully if I can this job (recent unemployed college grad), I can help out in this build. Your work seems to be top notch!

Looks kind of similar to my block lol... Anyway, Rich if you think you could use that Cometic headgasket that i have, id be happy to take it to class and get all of the left over viton off of it. ill bring it back to you when i come to get some more goodies from SIP? Im pretty sure i could find you a TH400 for damn near free, and if its not too bad ill just buy it, specifically what am i looking for(trans-wise)?

I didn't put any paint on your block! I would rather of used your block, at least it was late model block. I already have a tranny, but if you come accross those th400's you talked about, I would be happy to get them from you.

I think I will be just using a new HKS gasket. I am not sure of how thick a gasket I need yet.

Mo - thanks! I beleive in only doing things right.

Damn Bryan!! I would like them, but I already scaled a set of eagle rods and spun the crank for the weight. I would still do your crank at my cost however.

This short block will just be a temp. short block untill I have the time and money to build a proper one. So it is Eagle rods and probe pistons that I just had laying on the shelf for now. Later down the road when the car has grown tired of 6-700 hp, I will do a partial filled pauter/custom cp short block. The head I am going to do now will not be out grown. I am going to valve it, port, solid bucket, and 11 mm cam it from the begining. Still deciding if I want to do a crank trigger from the start, or spend the money on hobbing the gear on the billet core.

Just wanted to post what I found under the passenger seat when I removed it today. Look at all this junk, I can drop 100lbs just by removing all the spare change and critter nut stashes!

Pulled the radiator, fan, water pump, and pullies and noticed that someone in the past has messed with pulling the motor or the damper. Look at this dent in the air conditioner coil assembly behind the radiator.

p1305989_1.jpg

Got the turbo and many other items off. Will pull the motor and tranny soon.

Stage 1 weight reduction = shop-vac.

Only time you can make $ while modifying ;)

Tried it Bryan and think I made 65 cents! Prob cost 15 cents to run my old shop vac however.

Started to pull the interior out to get ready for the cage. Finding spare time to work on the car is the biggest obstical right now.

p1314047_1.jpg

I am going to try and have the short block finished in the next week or so. I have in stalled some arp main studs and line bored the mains. Next I just need to bore and hone, spin balance the crank, and start assembly on the hardware.

Hey Rich, I may be out your way in a couple weeks to pick up a trailer. Maybe I'll take a couple days extra off of work and give you a hand on that pig?
