a friend picked one up at walmart on clearance for 140 after i gave him the lead, i woulda bought it but it was a base model, synthetic stock with a right hand action.

this gives me an accutrigger, my lefty configuration and a bull barrel to boot. i've heard great things about the accuracy so i went with the 1/8 MOA scope :)

HOLY READING COMPREHENSION BATMAN!!!! you guys saying i said that If there are MORE! (i said NO!!!!!!) gun free zones, there wouldn't be any mass shootings. :p

gun free zone = dead

gun zone = alive

UNDERSTAND THIS! IF EVERYONE HAS A GUN THAT IS NOT A FELON then there would be no mass shootings.

I know MOST shooting have been in Gun free zones, and EVERY!!! case has been with someone that is not on there Meds (antidepressant) because they become Dependant on there Meds.

I'M 100% FOR GUNS, but the NRA is a scam. 5 rounds ONLY, blot action ONLY
FUCK the NRA... its time for a new lobby group!

Erm, a google search of "Joaquin Johnson" NRA yielded exactly zero hits, and other similar searches landed me back at youtube. And at the risk of sounding stupid, exactly what talk show and host is in the vid? I considered taking this up with an email to the NRA, but it's hard to do when you can't cite a condeming video any further than youtube. We've gone way off topic for this thread, but what looks to be a bogus post seemed worth pointing out.

Couple 1911 shooters came over to my shooting lane to took a look at my kp345pr, they said that the sharp angles on the ramp might be causing me some problems...any thought?

Does it shoot ok? If not, they may be correct. DO NOT TRY AND FIX THE RAMP ON YOUR OWN.

Aside from needing to practice my aim, it shoots fine....I only had one ejection failure and the feeding is what's causing me problems(totally random).

that all depends on whats happening...if the nose of the round is getting jammed between the ramp and the slide and just getting stuck then you probably need to polish the feed ramp.....or try a different ammo....some hollow points dont work well with other guns....1911 platform pistols generally dont like hollow points unless you get into the kimbers and wilsons and stuff like that where extensive gunsmithing was done.......but you didnt state what kind of jamming your haveing issues with so its hard to tell what your problem could be....it could be just limp wristing.

I polished the ramp before blasting 200 round this weekend. I've used Remington, Hornady's, and Winchester's hollow points and ball nose rounds. What do you mean what kind of jamming I'm having?

do you have stove pipes.....or failure to feeds?????

both could be from limp wristing...but failure to feeds could also mean you have too harsh of a recoil sprin meaning its too strong for the type of ammo your useing....so if your useing kinda weak rounds with a low recoil the slide may not be cycleing all the way back and slamming the slide back and causing the spent caseing to hit the ejector and throwing it out the side.....failure to feeds to be limp wristing meaning your wrist is too limp causing your body to absorbe the recoil not letting the slide do its job by slamming home as hard as possible and fully chambering a round....

so many differnt reasons......

As long as I had the gun, I only had one ejection failure and get the feeding failures the rest of the time. I have some Hornady XTP +P I could try if you think that other stuff might be weak.

took my 17 hmr to the range today, it shot beautifully but had several problems feeding. the magazine was insanely hard to install/remove and you had to put it in a bind to get it to catch. the first round would feed reliably but the second through fifth looked like they sat too low for the lip on the bolt to catch them. it ejected perfectly and we tried different magazines from other savages but still the same problem. if the cartridges were too far to the back of the mag, they wouldnt feed and if they were too far forward, the tips would jam about an eighth of an inch below the chamber and would jam up the bolt.

back to sportsmans warehouse and they packed it up to be sent back to savage for a warranty repair tomorrow.

in a 15 mph crosswind i did put three shots in a quarter inch at 50 yards though, im in love!
